Il tumore al fegato potrebbe essere scoperto in anticipo
Se alla steatosi epatica (il cosiddetto “fegato grasso”) sono associate basse concentrazioni di colesterolo Hdl (quello buono) nel sangue aumentano le possibilità di sviluppare un epatocarcinoma. Secondo uno studio promosso dall’Airc (Associazione Italiana Ricerca sul Cancro), la “combinazione” di questi due fattori può predire questo cancro addirittura cinque anni prima della diagnosi. Ciò potrebbe consentire di individuare gli individui a rischio ancor prima della comparsa dei sintomi, prevenendo la malattia attraverso una dieta adeguata o specifiche cure farmacologiche.
